Join together in a special worship evening with Nicholtown Choir and prayer for our partners. Experience another way of life through a poverty simulation. Enjoy food and fellowship together.

2:00-4:00 PM Poverty Simulation – Sisk
The Poverty Simulation opens people’s eyes to the human cost of poverty. The power of this unique learning resource is that it creates, like nothing else, insight into the state of chronic crisis that consumes so many working poor families. Participants experience one month of poverty comprised of four fifteen-minute weeks. Afterwards, in the debriefing, they share insights of extraordinary vividness and intensity.

Jerry Blassingame, Executive Director of Soteria CDC
Jerry Blassingame is the Founder and CEO of Soteria Community Development Corporation. He endeavors to empower individuals and the community through education, affordable housing, financial literacy, community and economic development, and entrepreneurship. His passion is assisting individuals who have been incarcerated through reentry and helping them to become productive citizens.
Deb Richardson-Moore, Author, Speaker, Change Agent
Deb Richardson-Moore is the author of four (4) fiction titles and a memoir, The Weight of Mercy, about her early years as a pastor at the Triune Mercy Center in Greenville, S.C. A former national award-winning reporter for The Greenville News, Deb is a popular speaker at book clubs, universities and churches. She has won numerous awards for community involvement, including the 2017 Leadership Greenville Distinguished Alumni Award and being named one of Greenville’s 50 Most Influential People by Greenville Business Magazine in 2013.
