Welcome to B-Street Student Ministry!
The purpose of the youth ministry at Buncombe Street United Methodist Church is to partner with parents to engage, encourage, and equip our youth to become confident, Christ-centered servants.
Serve with B-Street Students!Parents, we need your help. Sign up to help on Sunday mornings in the Youth Hall. We need folks that are willing to be present to welcome youth each Sunday morning, take attendance, and participate alongside youth. Can't sign up to be there every Sunday, that's okay! Choose one Sunday a month or several Sundays each semester. Serve with B-Street Students
Youth WorshipYouth Worship meets on Sundays from 10:00-10:50 AM on the Youth Hall. We welcome all youth in 6th-12th grades! Our Middle School meets in the Middle School room, and our High School in the High School room, then we will join together for a time of worship and spiritual formation. We hope to see you there!
InHouseCraving connection? This is where you should start. InHouse Groups generally meet twice per month on Sunday evenings throughout the school year. Middle School InHouse meets at the Downtown Campus, and High School InHouse meets at people’s homes. Each InHouse group is traditionally split up by grades and gender.
BigHouseThis big group time is all about having fun! This is a great way to introduce your friends to B-Street Youth. BigHouse meets approximately once per month during the school year on Sunday evening.
ConfirmationOur Confirmation program is designed to integrate into the life of our youth. At the end of their 8th grade year, we hold a Confirmation service where we recognize our new Confirmands. Older than 8th grade and would like to Confirm? No problem! You are more than welcome. We will learn and re-learn the information aspect, every year! To find out more about the expectations of a new Confirmand, and Confirmation in general, read/download our Confirmation Packet and check out our Confirmation Flow Chart.
- Fall Retreat (annually in October or November)
- Walk With Christ is a student-led spiritual retreat held over a weekend at the Downtown Campus. (annually in February or March)
Mission TripsBoth high school and middle school participate in week-long mission trips during the summer. Middle school focuses on the Greenville area, and high school travels out of Greenville. Each trip is planned with service, worship, fellowship, and fun in mind.
