Young Adults

At Buncombe Street UMC, our ministry areas for young adults are specifically designed for both college and career.

We currently have two ministry areas geared to young adults out of high school.  The Bridge at B-Street is for emerging adults (18-24) and  Young Adult Ministry (YAM) is for young adults (24-34).  If you are a 24-year-old, you may choose which group suits your stage of life. Both areas are led by a group of active BSUMC lay members under the guidance of Adult Ministry Coordinator,  Cathy Musselwhite.

The Bridge at B-Street: (18-24 years)

  • Connecting those out of high school, whether in college, trade school, or the workforce.
  • Sending written and digital communication for those who cannot be at BSUMC, but need a taste of “home”.
  • Offering in-person opportunities for community- including special events and a weekly Sunday morning in-person gathering from 10:00-11:00 AM during the summer.
  • Lay member contacts: Mary Catherine Davis and Kimberly Few.
