The Reverend Dr. Justin Gilreath

Associate Minister

Justin is one of the associate pastors at BSUMC and oversees worship at “The Table,” the contemporary worship service at the Downtown Campus. He went to college at Clemson University, where he received a B.S. in Agricultural Education, and he attended Duke Divinity School for his Masters of Divinity. 

His first appointment was at Piedmont United Methodist Church, where he spent 9 years as the pastor. During his first appointment, he completed his Doctor of Ministry, which focused on the importance of Christian community and church unity, from Erskine Theological Seminary. Justin’s passion is helping people understand the importance and power of the body of Christ. He also loves seeing the traditions of the church celebrated in new and innovative ways that are relevant to our culture.

Justin lives on his farm in Travelers Rest, SC, where he enjoys spending free time with his wife, Jenny, and his two daughters Meakin and Griffin.
